Managed by the Lions Club Society, Shri Vadilal Hiralal Gandhi School for the Deaf and Speech Impaired provides excellent educational opportunities along with co-curricular activities for Deaf students.
The school offers education from Standard 1 to Standard 8. Deaf students aged 6 to 21 years are admitted free of cost. At present, 120 students are enrolled in the school.
All essential academic requirements, including textbooks, notebooks, uniforms, and medical care, are provided completely free of charge. Teaching is delivered by specially trained educators using oral and visual teaching methods suited to the learning needs of Deaf students.
In the primary section, group hearing aids are used to support speech and reading training, and individual hearing aids are provided to each student to ensure effective learning. The school also offers excellent facilities and guidance to encourage students to actively participate in sports competitions and cultural activities for Deaf children organized at the state level in Gujarat.
